In the early years of the school we followed the national curriculum with results at Key Stage 1 generally being well above national norms. This continues into Key Stage 2, but as the boys get older our curriculum is more in line with Common Entrance, which is the traditional course of academic study followed in Prep Schools.

The top four years work very much like a secondary school with boys moving from class to class, dependent on the subject being taught.  The first five years work like a primary school with a single class teacher teaching most of the subjects, but we do make use of our specialists when teaching the younger boys for art, music, PE, ICT and French.

In keeping true to our ideal of the individual counts, our academic curriculum is very much built around individual needs with a strong learning support department and extension for the most able.
